As Editor-in-Chief, I take tremendous pride in publishing first issue of JCRT. I have assembled new editorial team with the aim to make a leaner and inclusive of all aspects of radiotherapy. Under able leadership of previous editor, JCRT has attained new status with good rating. This has got my task easier, to make it even more worthy by attracting best papers from the field of cancer. I have another herculean task of clearing the backlog of articles. While doing so, I have to work with constraints of finance for publishing extra issues (supplements). I shall try my best to keep cycle of article as short as possible. With the support of excellent editorial team, I hope to take JCRT to greater heights.

Since this is the voice of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), I request all the members to contribute to make it premier Journal of research and oncology. Our specialty is technology driven and changing with rapid pace. By bringing the latest advances on this forum for publication, we can keep abreast with it. The combined effort will go a long way in eliminating cancer.

The focus of JCRT is on research; this will be reflected in current as well as future issues. Being an international journal, a fair mix of national as well as overseas article will be maintained. We shall continue to make efforts to ensure that it mirrors the current research going on in the field.

Suggestions and positive criticism are welcome from the contributors and readers; it will help us a lot in improving the JCRT.

I would like to finish this editorial by wishing each one of you a very happy learning.
